Children of the Sun Camp is a virtual camp in formation designed with the needs of working parents in mind. The camp centers creativity, community, culture, and love, for children in grades K through 5. Organized by a parent and veteran educator, Children of the Sun hopes to provide affordable, culturally grounded programming for families, staffed by veteran arts educators and youth workers. Children of the Sun Camp is committed to providing fair and equitable wages to teachers, and will prioritize employing COVID-impacted teachers who have lost work or income during this time. All campers will participate in K-5 blended, virtual activities facilitated live by veteran arts and movement educators. Rising Kindergarten and 6th grade students are welcome.
